The Secret Weapon may be used on either a hand line or a rod and reel with a minimum breaking strain of 35lbs. Simply thread the line through the top of the device and tie the line through the holes in the bottom of the lid. Add Weight Add lead weight to the cartridge as required.It may be necessary to add more weight in strong currents.The easiest way to remove the lid of the Secret Weapon Chum Bomb is to gently prise the lugs free with a screwdriver or the back of your fishing knife when the lid is approx. 10° open. Take care when removing the lid so as not to damage the lugs which have been designed to hold it securely in place. Fill the weight cartridge with lead (small ball sinkers are best), clip into center cavity and push forward into nose cone until the groove in the weight cartridge lines up with the holes where the lid clips into place. Clip the lid into position. Load Chum When loading the Secret Weapon Chum Bomb with chum simply fill the center cavity with your chopped up chum or prepared chum pellets and close the lid. Drop and Release Hold tension on the line to keep Secret Weapon Chum Bomb closed, and lower into the water to the desired depth. The Secret Weapon Chum Bomb will only open when it is jigged in an upward motion, the water pressure forcing the lid open. It may help to do a test run over the side of the boat within your view to check your technique. Usually one or two jigs is enough to release all the chum. When the current is very strong you may attach extra weight via the holes in the nose cone. |
